Beekeeping experiences

Our beekeeping experiences are aimed at individuals, families, friends and groups that would like a taste of beekeeping without committing to doing a beginner's course.

Numbers of attendees are restricted to no more than 4-6 individuals so that you get the most from your experience. Experiences are available for larger private groups by arrangement.

Generally experiences are available between the start of April and the end of August. However please enquire about doing a "Taste the Honey experience outside this time period. Gift vouchers are available for experiences.

• New for 2024 - "Meet The Bees!"

A 90 minute activity where you will dress up in a bee-suit and visit the apiary, open a hive and inspect the bees inside. This makes a fantastic instagram opportunity!

• New for 2024 -  "Taste The Honey!"

A 90 minute activity where we guide you through a honey tasting experience. Learn about the difference between supermarket and artisan honey and set and runny honey and more!

• Our tried and tested half-day "Bee-Curious" experience

An action-packed half-day beekeeping experience including everything in the "Meet the Bees" and  "Taste the Honey" experiences and more, including making a beeswax candle to take home with you.

• Or splash out on a "Beekeeper For A Day" experience.

A full day, to try-before-you-buy, tick off your bucket list or to be a beekeeper when circumstances would otherwise prevent it.
