Our pledge to you
We are passionate about the quality of the wildflower honey that we produce and sell. You can be assured that it is always fresh and all produced by us. Unlike other suppliers, we do not buy honey in bulk from other beekeepers nor import it from abroad and repackage it. Furthermore, we do not keep a stock of honey from previous years to even out the supply. We harvest the spring wildflower honey in June and summer wildflower honey in August. We can identify the source of each jar of honey and the flowers the bees are likely to have been foraging on. Our honey is runny initially and will naturally start to crystalize and solidify in about 4-6 months, but you will have eaten it by then! If you prefer runny honey, store it in a warm place, whereas it will solidify sooner if stored in the fridge.
Anglesey Bees has been named among the top food and drink producers globally, picking up a highly prized
1-star Great Taste Award in 2024 for our
Anglesey Summer Wildflower Honey and
2-star Great Taste Award
in 2025 for our Anglesey Spring Wildflower Honey.
Food Hygiene assurance
To exceed food hygiene requirements, we have registered as a food producer and completed formal training in food hygiene and safety for manufacturing and have adopted a food safety management system following the principles of HACCP and TACCP. We have a purpose-built honey extracting and packing room and were awarded a food hygiene rating of 5 (very good) following a council food hygiene inspection, something that most beekeepers don't have.
