experience seasonal tasks and practical jobs

Think of this full day experience as an opportunity to try-before-you-buy or to tick off an activity from your bucket list! It can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an opportunity to achieve being a beekeeper when circumstances would otherwise prevent it.

This fulfilling event is ideal as a gift experience for a birthday, Christmas or Mothers' and Fathers' Day. (gift vouchers are available.)

In addition to the activities in the half-day bee curious experience, we will spend more time inspecting contrasting bee hives, including a WBC hive and a long hive and learn about assessing colonies, decision making and the manipulations required to manage the colonies. Indoors, you will learn more about hive products and have an opportunity to make not only a rolled candle but poured and dipped candles too.  Depending on the time of year, you will also experience the process of extracting honey and producing cut comb honey.
